A client who has completed a residential or hospital program should continue his/her treatment in an outpatient rehab setting. The outpatient rehab allows clients to live at home or at sober living home while participating at our outpatient center during the daytime. At Alta Centers, the outpatient care may require either  5 days per week attendance for up to 5-6 hours per day under the Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) or the ones that are further in recovery maybe successful with part time treatment 2-3 times per week up to 3 hours per day under the Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP). At Alta Centers we require clients to have weekly sessions with our psychiatrist, therapist and counselor.

Outpatient programs usually last up to three months, but could last longer depending on the progress in recovery.

At Alta Centers, our outpatient care on a weekly basis usually include:

    • One-on-one counseling with a psychiatrist
    • One-on-one counseling with a therapist
    • One-on-one counseling with a case manager
    • Medication management as needed
    • Group and family therapy sessions
    • Recreational therapy
    • Relapse prevention
    • Psycho-pharmacological assessments and check-ins
    • Monitored urinalysis
    • Sober living housing, if needed

Alta Centers require that all outpatient clients reside in a place free from drugs and alcohol. While outpatient clients are not monitored outside of treatment facility, each client is held accountable in pursuit of their sobriety by using our guidance and support.
